Worst Commercials Bracket

Now that the season is over, we can really focus on something that has been discussed a little bit throughout the tourney: the worst commercials bracket.

My nominations:

Star-divide

The UNC of commercials during the tourney HAS to be the Jetta commercial with the guy pressing the car alarm button as the couple approaches his car.  Other than the sound of an alarm clock, is there any sound worse than a car alarm?  Why, during a tense game or even relaxing watching an 2 seed destroy a 15 would I want to spend the commercial dealing with that awful noise?  And the commercial doesn't make sense either.  Is it supposed to be funny?

My other #1 seeds:
Memphis -- the Axe Body Spray commercial where the guy peels his skin off.  Sure, it was a small ad buy, and only appeared on TV a "mid-major" number of times.  But how gross is that?  The guy is banging his head against the wall and peeling skin off.  Ugh.

UCLA -- Bud Light's "Dude" commercials.  I liked UCLA two years ago when they went to the final four, I liked them last year.  This year, its just too much UCLA, and they aren't as good as they could be and they seem.  The first Bud Light dude commercial was pretty funny, and the other ones weren't bad.  But the last ones have just been too much, and they aren't as good as they should be or could be.

Kansas -- The Coke Zero commercials with the clips of the old NCAA games.  I mean, they aren't offensive or whatever, but like Kansas, there's just something about them I don't like.  Maybe it was that it ran twice per timeout -- just sick of seeing it.

That's all I can think of.  Anyone want to nominate their #2 seeds?

Also, anyone want to nominate 4 #16 seeds, commercials that they really liked during the tourney?

Then maybe we'll vote, or no one will respond and I'll delete this in shame.

The other Coke Zero commercials
...I'm suing them for "joke infringement".

Also, Spy Hunter, Pontiac commercial - awesome

Also, Old Spice Hair and Body Wash
Is it right for me?
Nope.

Commercials
Don't forget:
  1.  That terrible Pontiac commercial in the mold of the classic Nintendo game Spyhunter.  I'm confused how Pontiac keeps buying commercial airtime.  I mean, do they actually sell any cars.
  2.  Sheraton rivals commercial.  Interesting at first, but just played way, way too much.
  3.  Holiday Inn "send that girl a sausage" commercial.  Slow, boring.
UofL games in the NCAA tournament is basically the first time I've watched a live commercial in a couple years.

The commercials I like are the E-trade baby talking commercials which were unveiled during the Super Bowl.  Those are just funny.  I also generally like almost all of the Masters commercials, even though I'm not a golf fan.

Subway five, five dollar, five dollar footlong
Love it.  I can't watch that commercial without making the handmotions.

Also, my quick is quicker than your quick.  That's a good one.

One I Like
...it may have technically debuted at the Super Bowl, but you can't beat that little toddler at the keyboard buying stock "I just bought stock, dude" for Ameritrade.  He and his peeps had some extra coin and splurged to hire "BoBo", a clown (in the background obnoxiously bending balloons into the shapes of giraffes) who he "underestimated the creepiness of."
The kid's a doll.
That's nice stuff.

The VW "Car Alarm" commercial
A guy has taken his wife/girlfriend to the VW showroom to show her the new VW he wants. But as he approaches the car the alarm goes off. Again, and again. Apparently some guy has already bought the car and is goofing them with the alarm button. Funny, right? Wrong. Car alarms are highly annoying sounds. Like alarm clocks. A commercial that repeatedly uses an annoying sound = annoying.

dude
the bud light dude commercials are the only ones I enjoyed...i like the talking toddler spots but have seen them too many times to count and it lot its appeal whereas I would still chuckle with my dad at the dude comments. I agree it could be more funny but I'm expecting them to cone out with new ones soon based on the success of the few currently airing.

Besides the car alarm commercials which was terrible the only other spots I can remember were the no Cinderella spots and the one where they would replay old buzzer beaters like UCLAs tyus edney and the ball bouncing out of the stadium into traffic...though I can't remember the products or companies being advertised which is kinda the point.

Before reading the diary and comments the only commercial I could remember the exact name of the product was bud light...but I don't understand big beer industry's obsession with commercials...I feel like it has zero effect in the purchase of their beer over another. If I order a bud light IMO its b/c it tastes better than the other lights in its price range....I would assume there's a very small niche of consumers who are vulnerable of being swayed by beer commercials and the $$ spent doesn't justify their advertisement-driven sales. Maybe there is a lot of zombies out there who are cooerced by guys saying dude and wazzzzup....I'm sure they have market reaerchers who get paid to analyze this stuff so I guess someone's saying it works...

What about Enterprise
From what I can gather, they'll pick me up.

No other set of ads has me so consistently contemplating suicide.  Amazingly, they repeat from the previous year, so I'm sick of them by about the 15:46 mark of the first Thursday game.

Revised SONCS Commercial With New Stoweaway
...Yeah...it's DC hiding in the back seat, still wearing his U of L warm up suit, scarfing down another tray of food on the trip back to the 'Ville, looking like a helium filled balloon from the Macy's Day Parade.  He, of course, says to the guys up front:  "Hey, are you gonna finish those fries?"

The guys up front, exasperated, simultaneously say "I thought he was YOUR friend!"

If you can't get a SVEN...
Ahh, memories of terrible commercials.

I forgot an old one, but good one: "Rise and shine little one: KUNG FU today!"  For some reason I can't watch that Sven commercial enough.  "Your stocks are up, your stocks are down."

I forget which company it is for.  Some sort of phone, but  not blackberry.
