Sheraton ad

UK was asked, but said no.

http://www.kentucky.com/276/story/360456.html

Did they have another commercial scheduled with Norfolk State five days later?

Barnhart is such a preschooler.

(The kids may not remember when Memphis State really was a spit-on-cheerleader rival, but that was 30 years ago.)

what a bunch of pansies
Since I haven't lived in Kentucky for many years, my hatred of UK has slowly become watered down and these days I have no real problem with them, well, you know, until we play them. But this year I've suffered a number of setbacks with regards to the nonchalance I've been feeling about UK. First they refuse to play the cards  on Monday Night football b/c they are pantywaisted douchenozzles, and now their rejection of the opportunity to be placed side-by-side with UL of the national rivals stage. I've been wondering for months why the Sheraton ads had us snuggling up with a Memphis fan. And now that I know the reason I'm glad that UK pulled the plug and demonstrated that they are a bunch of self-righteous, faux-elitist, dickweeds. I love the UL/UK rivalry and I firmly believe it to be one of the best in all of sports, apparently UK would like to downplay this uber competitive relationship we've nurtured for generations. Well, to hell with them. They have put me back on the path of wildcat hatred. I can't believe I almost picked them to beat Marquette in the tourney and actually was rooting for them to make the dance. Shame on me. Shame.

Go Cards!

(I do still hate Memphis though - so I've got that going for me, which is nice.)

Go Cards!

Birds v. Kittens
The Louisville - Kentucky rivalry is the best in college sports, ESPN and others just do not realize it.

Barnhart's tactics (though it's not clear that he was the decision maker on the commercial issue) are evident, apparent and obvious.  Even the most ardent of bluebellies can't explain away his childish approach to dealing with ADTJ.

The blue school doesn't want to play us in anything unless they feel they have the advantage.  That my Cardinal brothers and sisters is called fear.
