There's no doubt in my mind that UNC is an incredible team, packed with great players. That said, they are the only bright spot this year for the ACC. As I reviewed their schedule, their only true "Big quality" win was over Duke. I think UofL has played tougher schedule (RPI be damned) and we are probably more braced for a huge game like this. That is not to say that we should be favored, but as we gaze starry-eyed at the brilliance that is UNC, it's good to have perspective. We may not have played a team as strong as UNC all year, but they certainly have not played a team as strong as we are. And I think we've played a lot of teams that could beat UNC on a given night - WVU, Notre Dame, Georgetown, Tennessee, Pitt, UConn et al. I believe that if we come out strong and get a lead then we can win. Conversely if they establish themselves early then we are going to have trouble. But even then we tend to be a much better second half team so if we can stay within striking distance we always have a chance. But if we can maintain a decent lead into the middle of the second half UNC will start to huck up ill-advised threes like they did last year versus GTown. That's what I want to see.
