Clark to start against UNLV
Some interesting notes from Rick Bozich's blog:
Pitino said that junior forward Earl Clark has practiced his way back into the starting lineup after a one-game absence.
He said that junior point guard Edgar Sosa was the team's fourth guard, which evidently means that Preston Knowles and Jerry Smith will remain the starting guards.
Pitino said he hasn't given up on Sosa, but implied that Sosa needed to concentrate more on play-making and defense.
"He could become a very good point guard," Pitino said. "But his mindset is not of a playmaker. His mindset is that he has to score. If he doesn't score he gets down on himself."
Pitino also said that he wanted Smith to drop his weight to 182 pounds. Smith reported at 212 this season and is currently listed at 200 pounds on the U of L pre-game notes.
Um, Jerry's still carrying a little holiday weight, and he'd prefer not to talk about it at the moment.

You are right....
but excuse me….didn’t I see a rather plump person on the UNLV team tonight make mincemeat out of our attractive, svelte, slim players?….please Coach P – PRIORITIES AND BASICS before jumping a kid about his weight…you know defense and oh yes, offense is nice too. And don’t forget a GAME PLAN. Lord help us on Sunday – yUK is a joke but even Eastern or Western could beat us the way we are playing now….
