Jeff Withey

I saw that his transfer request was granted by Arizona. I believe he was once a Louisville commit. This may seem like a dumb quesion, but does anyone think he may consider the Cards again? I'm not sure if they would still want him after being dissed or what their scholarship situation is. I may just be suckered in by the possibility of a versatile 6-11 big man. Your thoughts would be much obliged.

No chance

We pulled his scholarship offer in June of 07 when Samardo committed. Not happening.

I don't think so

I believe he had a former coach get hired at Zona. Then he decommitted to the CARDS. I don’t think getting Samardo helped though.

David Padgett was recruited by Pitino but comited to Kansas…. then coach bounced and came here… could be the same way…

but if Withey gave Pitino a verbal then renigged…

I could see Pitino not being interested…

FLAKE

Withey committed to Louisville. He bailed later cause he said it was too far from home. He commits to Arizona which is a few hours from home, and then he bails out of there well before Lute leaves. The kid is a headcase.
