Scott Long will skip spring practice
How come we didn't know this before?
But the following week in practice, he suffered a torn right ACL. During surgery a week later, complications arose when a blood clot in his calf traveled to a lung. It forced him to remain in the hospital for another week.
"I have total faith that God has a plan and this was a necessary evil,’’ said Long, who a devout Christian.
The 6-foot-2, 211-pound Long has started seven months of rehab, which means he will skip spring practice and hopes to be ready for fall 2009.
This kid deserves a stellar senior season. Here's hoping he gets it.

Dont you know anything?
Its important to hold this type of information back from the media, fans and opposing coaches so they cant use it against the team. Spring practice is something that opposing coaches lose sleep about so why give them a heads up? It might tip them off so they dont spend money trying to fly in and catch a glimpse of Long running through drills. Thats money they would otherwise spend on recruiting so its a good thing “coach” has this policy.
