Louisville lands Geffard twins

Well, here's one way to quickly bolster your number of commitments.

Twin defensive backs Jacob and Isaac Geffard of Oakland Park (Fla.) Northeast have committed to Louisville, according to SoFlafootball.com.

"We committed to Louisville," Isaac told the online publication. "It’s a dream come true man. I always dreamed of playing with my brother in college football. We’ve been playing with each other all my life and I can’t see us not going and playing football in college for one last time."

Both Geffards stand 6-foot-3 and weigh in around the 185-pound mark, and both expect to play the safety position at U of L. They will take their official visits this weekend.

"I talked to Coach [Bill] Miller on Monday and basically he told me to be ready to play," Isaac said. "He said he definitely could see me and my brother fitting into that scheme early."

Isaac Geffard had scholarship offers from Iowa State, Minnesota and Florida International, and had been in contact with Miami, Wisconsin, Central Florida and Connecticut. Jacob Geffard also had scholarship offers from Iowa State and Minnesota, and had been recruited by Wisconsin, Marshall and Connecticut, among others.

At the safety position, Louisville loses multi-year starter Bobby Buchanan to graduation, but returns Latarrius Thomas, Richard Raglin and Daniel Covington, all of whom have been starters at one point or another in their Cardinal careers.
