Angel McCoughtry is an All-American

University of Louisville senior forward Angel McCoughtry was selected to The Associated Press' preseason All-America women's basketball team released yesterday.

She was the third-leading vote-getter behind Oklahoma's Courtney Paris and Connecticut's Maya Moore on the five-player team, which also included Maryland's Kristi Toliver and Oklahoma State's Andrea Riley.

"I'm humbled by this honor," McCoughtry said. "It was a dream of mine to bring national recognition to Louisville women's basketball."

The U of L women are No. 10 in the preseason AP poll, and No. 11 in the coaches' poll.
