Future QB...?!
I was at the WVU game and wathced Hunter keep warm on the sidelines throwing the ball with Simms...
Is it me or does that kid have THE UGLIEST throwing motion ever? I mean its almost liek he has a rubberband on his wrist and hip...
His arm never went over his shoulder. Its hard to say that it was "just playing around" bc I seen his fake a scramble and make the same motion.
There is no way he will be able to get the ball downfield without it being tipped by defensive linemen...
I know a lot fo you hate it when Hunters passes are tipped or knocked down as do I, but I think thats just poor release time... he takes 4 seconds to cock and release...
But if this Burke kid is the one I'm thinking of where he was blistering people in high school with like 700 ypg and like 1,000,000 TDs in career then I want him firing that freakin pigskin!
Wolfe made me cringe when he filled in for hunter on what... 2 plays this year...
lets hope Krag decides to leave and TJ offers English...

Actually he's right
If you watched the Pitt game, then you know he’s right too. Simms was 5/10 and I’m pretty sure all 5 incompletions were from tipped by the D-line. His throwing motion is ugly and FAR too low. If he’s our permanent quarterback next season, I predict a worse season than this one.
Seriously, watch a couple videos of him on YouTube. It’s not pretty.
i was at the Pitt game
ANd i was extremely disappointed in Simms. From the hype of his recruitment and his pedigree, i thought he could definatly be a solid qb next year. But having watched him play, i really hope he doesnt see much time on the field. He brings the ball to his ear, then shot puts it out. Looks like it has some zip on the ball, but like you said (“Simms was 5/10 and I’m pretty sure all 5 incompletions were from tipped by the D-line”) he’s going to get a lot of passes knocked down at the line. I cant believe the son of a NFL QB has such an ugly throwing motion.

Bernie Kosar Jr.
Yes, he’s a sidearm thrower. Either the transfer or Stoudt will be the starter. I can’t see this playing out any other way. It would be in the best interest of next years team to run first to set up the pass, instead of throwing first. Every game this year that we start off running, ( W.V.) we abandon 5 or 6 yards per carry, to throw the ball. I know you need to keep the defense honest, but run until they stop it. Maybe a new offensive coordinator?
what about
this yeager kid that is so “eager” to get started?
hes a dual threat I heard… but will they move him to wr?
