This better not have happened during a punt coverage drill. If this kid was playing special teams, I’m going to personally pimp slap Kragthorpe.

Dave Ragone runied my morning

He dropped the news as he was cutting to commercial. He gave gave me no warning, just dropped the bomb and left me hangin’.

Not the appropriate way to break my heart.

The word on the street...

From a reliable sorce I know, Long injured his ACL and is done for the year. Dont know how he hurt it, but the kid just can’t catch a break. I guess he can apply for a medical redshirt since he only appeard in one game though. Hopefully Guy is good to go and Chichester steps it up. Beaumont needs to get more touches and not be so invisible. We need the passing game to keep getting better like it has done in the past few games. Go Cards.

Forget the redshirt

I was only thinking on his breakout game last weekend, i forgot about the other two he played in. But to make up for my mistake, here is the link to the sotry on ESPN

Scott

Here I was saying to myself during his post-game interview, what a terrific kid this is. Has gone through adversity and heartache and fights back with a big game against a good opponent.

Now this. Sad beyond words, really. Let’s hope for the best for this nice, solid and soft-spoken young man.

Since he’s only appeared in 3 games, he does have a case for a medical redshirt.

I think if he had played in two games, he would be eligible for a medical redshirt. I could be wrong, but i though it you played in over 20% of the teams games you couldnt get a medical redshirt. 3 games out of 13 (if we go to a bowl) is 23%. If the rule is different, I’ll be happy i’m wrong. Plus he already redshirted, which would mean he’d have to apply for a 6th year of eligibility.
