Johnny Patrick named Big East Defensive Player of the Week
University of Louisville cornerback Johnny Patrick was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week, while West Virginia running back Noel Devine and Cincinnati punter Kevin Huber have also been named recipients of the BIG EAST Conference's weekly football accolades following games of Oct. 12.
Patrick was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week after scored the go-ahead touchdown on a 19-yard fumble return in the fourth quarter of Louisville's 35-28 win at Memphis. He finished the game with six tackles and figured in a potential 10-point swing to close the first half when he blocked a Memphis field goal attempt that was returned for a Cardinal touchdown.
