Big East Power Poll: Week Seven

Absolutely no movement this week. I have no idea if that's good, bad or completely insignificant.

1. Pittsburgh (1) (4-1, 2-0)

Last Week: Off

This Week: At Navy

A loss in Annapolis would be bad for all parties here.

2. South Florida (2) (5-1, 0-1)

Last Week: Off

This Week: vs. Syracuse

There's no better way to regroup after a loss and a bye week than by getting to play Syracuse at home.

3. Connecticut (3) (5-1, 1-0)

Last Week: Off

This Week: At Rutgers

The Huskies also draw a nice bounce back game with a trip to Piscataway to take on a Rutgers team that's ready for all of this to be over.

4. Cincinnati (4) (5-1, 1-0)

Last Week: Beat Rutgers (13-10)

This Week: Off

The Bearcats have survived with Chazz Anderson at the helm, and could have Tony Pike back when they play UConn in two weeks.

5. West Virginia (5) (4-2, 2-0)

Last Week: Beat Syracuse (17-6)

This Week: Off

The narrow win over Syracuse puts a hole in the Louisville '07 conspiracy theory, but it also further illustrates that something's wrong in Morgantown.

6. Louisville (6) (3-2, 0-1)

Last Week: Beat Memphis (35-28)

This Week: vs. Middle Tennessee

The Cards haven't exactly returned to Orange Bowl form, but the drop off from No. 6 to No. 7 is still quite steep.

7. Rutgers (7) (1-5, 0-2)

Last Week: Lost to Cincinnati (13-10)

This Week: vs. Connecticut

At least you've got...women's basketball?

   8. Syracuse (8) (1-5, 0-2)

Last Week: Lost to West Virginia (17-6)

This Week: At South Florida

Two conference losses by only a combined 21 points. Strike up the band.
