Rick Pitino

was a busy man on ESPN today.

First, he was on ESPN's First Take and just moments ago he was on Jim Rome is Burning.

Both appearances were to promote his new book "Rebound Rules: The Art of Success 2.0" written by Rick Pitino and Pat Forde.

His appearance on Jim Rome was a humbling one.  He spoke more about tragedies in his life; 1. His son Daniel Pitino passing away as an infant and 2. losing his besy friend in life and brother and law Billy Minardi in 9-11.

I knew about both incidents, but I just thought the way he spoke of how sports was his passion and basically his keep on keepin on to stay positve and remember them in a positive way.

Have a good day people...

Rick is an inspiration...

…to us all!

I have always admired Rick Pitino, not just for his ability to motivate players, but for his amazingly level attitude in the face of equal amounts of prosperity and adversity.

I know of few people who have had so much success and so much sorrow stuffed into one lifetime. I’m sure there are others but I have not personally witnessed their life.

So my hat is off to Rick and his family for being such good role models for all of us.
