Around SBN: MLB Trade Deadline: Astros' fans react to Oswalt trade

What was the insane 12 men on the field coach's challenge?

Did Mr. Kragthorpe really burn a timeout on that play?  Didn't the Cards stop the return at about the 20?  What was he trying to do, kickoff again to give NC State a chance to run it back for a TD?

Every game it looks more and more like a bad high school staff in action.

Clock / timeout management has been questionable over the first five games.

I agree...
About questionable clock management thus far.

But from the looks of things in the game, Krag didn't want to challenge that play at all.  He was screaming his head off at the line ref including a very visible "I never wanted this f**** challenge." But who knows what was going on.

I wonder why
K even asked whether the play could be challenged.

Why even ask that....

Ya, that was weird...
....I mean, I don't know the challenge-ability of plays.

But I'm not the head coach.

But the refs hearing his question and then actually challenging the play seems a bit out of line.

Overall, 50% blame to KRAG for a) not knowing the rules and b) considering challenging the play. 50% blame to refs for messing it up.
