Krapthorpe has ruined this program. Our program has been set back 10 years with the events of the past month. The momentum that has been building for the past decade has completely disappeared with this loss. Why on earth would any recruit want to play for a coach who can't beat a BCS bottom feeder with the kind of talent this team has. The flood of fans out of the stadium in the 3rd quarter today was the culmination of 4 weeks of rain on the Cardinal parade.
The dam began to break with the first drive against Murray (a joke of a D-II school). The lack of intensity and ability of the staff to motivate and "Coach-Up" our young guys has proved fatal. The MTSU game completely exposed us and the UK game made even our players start to doubt our coach.
What I saw today was a team completley void of hope. The hallmark of Bobby Petrino teams was their "bouncebackability". Whenever we got beat the coach let it be known that heads were gonna roll and the PLAYERS ALWAYS RESPONDED. Krapthorpe isn't tough enough to make his players believe in him and that will ultimately doom this program.
A coach like Krap belongs in the depths of CUSA and not at an elite program.
Does Rich Rodriguez just slap his boys on the ass and tell 'em "Get 'em next time" after they standby and watch the opponent's TE walk DOWN THE MIDDLE OF THE FIELD FOR AN 80 YD TD? No.
Does Greg Shiano pat his boys on the head after three of them whiff on arm tackles and let a WHITEBOY QB SCAMPER FOR 30 YDS A POP? NO!
Does Pete Carroll?
Does Urban Meyer?
Does Jim Tressel?
Does Bob Stoops?
HELL NO! They rip their players a new one and let the first three rows of fans know when they've screwed up that royaly!
Those guys are elite coaches because they know that there must be punishment when terrible mistakes are made...and the Head Coach must be the one to dole it out.
Steve Kragthorpe will never be an elite coach and unless a change is made soon the University of Louisville will never be elite either.
