Ugh

What can you say? If you don't know how to line up for a quarterback sneak on the goalline, you probably don't deserve to win. Louisville didn't deserve to win, Kentucky did.

I fear that going any further tonight would be a mistake.

Harry Douglas and Brian Brohm deserved better from Steve Kragthorpe in their senior seasons. Brohm stuck his neck out for this guy and he's repaying him by pissing away his senior season. This is Jurch's best friend so he's not going anywhere, but this guy is a CUSA coach.

C-USA
I agree fully. He's a C-USA coach and Loserville is a C-USA team, perfect fit. Loserville wouldn't last in the SEC. Have fun in the cupcake Big East.

Wow
You're really going to gloat after your second win in nine years? Glad to see you're living it up by posting on a Louisville blog at 2:30 in the morning on the Saturday night of your favorite program's biggest win in 30 years.

Maybe if you're lucky you can come back in five more years.

by Red C on Sep 16, 2007 2:30 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

You are a walking hypocrisy
If beating UofL is a landmark win for your program (you have only beaten 3 teams with winning records under Brooks, and 30 years since defeating another top 10 team), which it is, why demean our program?  Just revel in the fact that you won a HUGE game for your team.  If we are a "C-USA" then you are basically saying that UK has not proved anything yet this season.  This will probably be the biggest win for your team this year, so understand that and keep your dumb comments to yourself.  UK fans cheering "overrated" last night makes zero sense.  Acknowledge that you won a game against a quality opponent.

You all don't last in the SEC either, but we already know that from your previous seasons.  What bowl game did you all go to last year??  Shit bowl??

We didn't deserve it
A team that is number 9 in the country does not have 2 turnovers the first 2 times they touch the ball.  Both times the cats capitalized on them with points.

I hate to look to the future but the outlook with, USF, WV and Rutgers who now have a QB that can throw...I just don't know.

UK
First Michael Bush and now Brian Brohm. I LOVE when we end Loserville' national title hopes. There's no way to explain the JOY I felt when Michael Bush's leg snapped or when brohm got intercepted and went on to lose the game. You know have a loss losers, have fun NOT playing for the national title. I'm so f*cking happy Brohm won't be getting a national title. Have a happy senior season you punk! Rest of the season is useless. Can't wait until we stomp your asses in basketball. My prediction? UK wins 78-56.

You make me sick
What is worth winning, if this is how you celebrate?  It is truly sickening that you enjoy seeing personal harm to an individual you don't even know.   Why can't you just focus on your current feeling of happiness for your team instead of trying to insult others?  Its easy to say things like that when you don't have to post your name.  You are a COWARD, simple as that.  You are a disgrace as a fan and to this rivalry. Respect the game and those that play on both sides.  My team may have lost, at least I am still proud of who I am.  Can you say that (if so I feel sorry for you)?

And who cares about basketball right now?  Pay attention to your football program for an entire season and give them some support.  Clearly they are doing a lot of things right.

WOW
Big UK fan here, and I can't tell you guys how embarrassing it is to have guys like this asshat posting ignorant comments like the one above.  Mike Bush is a great kid and did nothing but show exactly the kind of loyalty and class that we hope our atheletes will show.(If only the fans on both sides could show the same mutual respect)  If he would have worn blue we would have loved him to death but he stayed home and who can blame the kid?  There is no Question that Louisville is no longer little brother and anyone who makes that argument is pissing into the wind.  Louisville is the class of the state in football and for the last few years among the best in the country.  We won on Saturday and for that I am THRILLED!  However, the schadenfreud I expected to feel was washed away by sympathy.  I have seen my team come up on the short end of the stick REGULARLY over the course of my lifetime in the most painful ways.  I know too well what it means to play well enough to win and still come up on the L side due to any of 10 different calls, missed tackles, dropped balls, etc.  So as a FIRED UP UK FAN I am on this site humbled and thrilled that we bettered big brother on one night, but I want it to be known that the vast majority of us are not the classless RETARDS who have been spewing hate here.  Reason, reality, and logic are concepts with which we are familiar.

Best of luck the rest of the season and again sorry for the morons

#18 I hate is about UK is a cruel post like...
the one above.  "Joy" when you snap Bush's leg?!!

I have many intelligent, and very gleeful (this morn) UK friends-- who can rib a bit, but know true sportmanship

But # 19 reason:  is that UK fans can not only be absolutely cruel, but usually don't exhibit even marginally good sportsmanship whether they win or lose...very puerile... and discouraging when you are a Kentuckian trying to explain Blue fans WVU-like behavior to bewildered fans in other states

Wildcat 4 life
The sentiment expressed here is precisely( that means "exactly Wildcat4life) why people like me( grew up in Harlan and went to college in the Lexington are)chose to disassociate myself from the UK bunch many years ago. To gleefully admit to enjoy seeing a college kid hurt is beyond belief and says a lot about what is important in this losers life.

That being said you can't commit the turnovers Louisville did against a bad team and win. Against a marginal team like UK it cost us the game. The good teams on our schedule like WVU and Rytgers will have a field day if we don't correct these type mistakes.
The season has many weeeks to go and there are some twists and turns ahead for everyone.
Go Cards!   go hogs!

Our O just didn't make it happen in the 3rd qtr
when we could have put the nail in UK

AND our D ineptly allowed them to get behind us in ZONE coverage for a wide-open game-breaker, instead of at least forcing UK into trying a field goal at worst-- a weak spot for them.

AND a possible game-breaker for us, on our 3rd qtr QB sneak, spoiled (AGAIN) by a  mindless, stupid penalty

Things that sure didn't help... Spotting them 13 points, Urrutia dropping another TD pass, our O line not really opening holes for our runners...

However, you can talk about a lot of things....but for   10 minutes in 3rd when our D was holding and we were up by 2-- and we couldn't tack on that cushion TD...that was the game

Delusion to another level
We won the Orange Bowl, so who is the idiot?  We are the only team in the Commonwealth to own a BCS bowl victory.  We got handled really?  You scored with 28 seconds left to win, doesn't sound like domination to me. If the referees review the play by Allen, we should have gotten that TD as well.
But in regards to cupcake schedule look no further than your own. 8 home games...EKU...Kent St..FAU (and didnt want to play UofL) for your nonconference schedule.  Look at last year, your "breakthrough" year included Texas St, Central Michigan, and Louisiana Monroe all at home.  Until your team schedules more than one nonconference game vs a BCS conference opponent you have no room to talk.  UofL has scheduled Oregon State, Miami, Kansas State, and NC State (other than this rivalry) this year and last.  We schedule other quality teams.

Blame?
Rafeal Little was the difference. Every time he ran for positive yards it was atleast a 5/6/7 yard gain. Our defense tackled poorly and took bad angles to the runner

BROHM SHOULD HAVE NOTICED PEOPLE WERE OFF THE LINE!!! THAT'S PART OF HIS ASSIGNMENTS.

The reaons the Cats wanted to move the game to #3 of the season? ESPN CLASSIC has terrible cameras. Allen broke the plane for the td late; the 7 men on the line penalty should have never happend. I'm sure the Handycam that ESPN Classic seemed to be using couldn't have possible helped the review, with tivo, it looked like he was in by a cat hair.

What KY School for the Blind grad was operating the clock?  Yes, they took time away from the cats in the first half. But why did 5 seconds run off the clock when Steve Johnson ran into the endzone?  PERSONALLY, I think this needs to be examined if that was the official game clock.

Woodson is a great game manager; he's tall with good vision, so bring some pressure in the first half, MIKE Cassity. You can't let a guy pick you for 7 yards on every completed pass. The early fumble let him get settled in way too easily. (NOTE: When Woodson's throws are incomplete/overthrown ball they're so bad they couldn't possibly be intercepted.)

A.Allen played good, he just lacks breakaway speed that is needed for td's against any decent team. We needed a speed back, if Allen can break a run for 20 yards, Spencer would have taken it to the house.

Please Mike... I'm not sure where all these ignorant inbred white trash trailer dwelling UK fans got access to a computer, but I think I speak for the vast majority of your readers when I say this crap should be deleted. If it were intelligent discussion with some class, that's one thing, but hateful posts and smack talk should go. If I wanted to hear that garbage I'd go visit a trailer park.

Though it does perfectly illustrate the class and demeanor of the UK fan base, so if that's your intention in leaving it, I understand!

Clock...ignorance
Yeah, I had the game TiVO'd and FLIPPED THE F' out at first about that.  As Woodson threw the ball about 7 seconds ticked off in rapid succession and I almost had a coronary.  After all was said and done I went back and looked.  Clock started late and the play took about 10 seconds.  About 10 seconds ended up coming off the clock all together.  Not sure if that was the official clock anyway because I noticed some other funny things about it throughout the game and going back it looks as if whoever was operating it was keeping it in line with the "official" clock or something (delaying the start of it and letting it run down on other ocasions).  There was one time when UK didn't get the first down or vice versa but the clock stopped.  I'm not going to waste too much time trying to find that though since the last TD and time looked legit.

SOME KY fans are the biggest TARDS on the face of the earth...just ignore them, lest you end up like the clowns in OK fighting over a UT shirt.

but check out this obviously KY Biased reporter...

If this clown is an expert, he obviously didn't see the whole thing and the replay.  I'll just go with my other assumptions (UK fan, Retard, or BOTH)

Thanks for the site mike, I love it and I wanna shake your hand! turned onto it by someone on the cbs cards site (same screen name)

i hate UofL
The guy who made the comment about bush is a dumbazz. Now that i got that out of the way on to the schedule playing in the big east you have to schedule tougher non conference games because you play in a cupcake division or you wouldnt get taken serious by the polls just look at who kentucky plays in the sec florida, arkansas, LSU, georgia, tennessee(disregard this year) south carolina. If UL was in the sec they would be lucky to make the music city bowl. So dont talk about schedules. especially after the performance you showed against middle tennessee who by the way was beaten 44-0 by an sec team. National title for louisville yeah keep dreaming.

by UKfan4life on Sep 16, 2007 10:16 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Good point
I tried to be a little more diplomatic but yes, the SEC East is no place for Kentucky OR UofL to reach REAL championship level.
Too much smash mouh meat to get by to even get to ANY bowl.

I think Brooks showed exactly what to do with the first to games and Coach K seemed to want to hide holes and pad ofeneive stats.

I fear you guys may have your hard work and smart business/conference moves derailed by Coach K. I would hate it for the state.

SHAME!!!
I am sick to be associated with people like the UK fans on this post. I for one see no reason to spend time hating you guys. I hate that Florida is the football state and NC is the basketball state in the minds of the nation. I want UK and UofL to be the best. I am not a UofL fan obviously but I am a KENTUCKY fan and that means both of us being ranked and quality on a constant basis. When we play, I want you to go down and go hard. Every other game in both sports and both schools is pride in the state. PERIOD! It is time the east coast ESPNers start looking back our direction and stop licking UF, FSU, Miami, Duke, NC etc.

The "cup cake" crap is over. You are making the steps to get where you need to be and leaving CUSA was smart. The timing was perfect. Way to go. We have it tough when we have always had UT, UF, Bama, UGA, etc. breaking our legs and arms every time we are able to catch our breath. CM killed us with J-Hole Mummy. I hope you guys don't get killed by your Coach K.

We are both doing the work to raise both programs to national power level and we can both see there is still work to do in both camps but strides have been made.

Good luck the rest of the way and not all fans are like those guys on this blog. Most see yesterday as just another team on the list and we are down here focused on doing our thing and digging out of the Mummy hole and the Bear Bryant hex.

Peace and hot and healthy competition forever!

i will continue to post here because i enjoy trashing UL as for the asshole remark, yes i am but when you are a fan of the greatest basketball team to ever play u are naturally gonna be a little arrogant. I also know UK is gonna lose probably 4 to 5 football games this year because we play in the sec. The only reason i am talking so much is because UL fans have never had a good football team until the past couple years and now they think they are a football powerhouse and run their mouths to much, although the basketball team has been bad for about 20 years now so i can kind of understand getting over excited about the football team, but please be realistic you didnt really think you could have competed for a national title did you? Not even a UL fan is that dumb. Are they? hmmmmmmmm.....

Arrogance
I believe most outside the state of Kentucky would argue that UCLA is the greatest college basketball program of all time.I also believe that the number of times on probation by the NCAA should be looked at when looking at past success to get a full understanding as to who got to the top of the heap fairly and who did not.Winning titles when Harry Truman was in office carries little pertinence today but hang your hat on what you wish.
And I do wholeheartedly believe that Louisville is in position to challenge for a National title in football. The Cardinals were in the hunt last year until the second week of November. And deny it all you want but the Cardinals were in the discussion until that time. Only the staunchest Cardinal fan felt, after the first two games, that this year would be the year.
As for the attempt to insult my(and other Louisville fans)intelligence: one simply need to read your entries to assess your level of intellect.

One decade does not make you the greatest ever also as for what has UK done in the last decade uhh lets see........oh yeah won the national title in 98 and was runner up in 97. I know it was 11 years ago so not this decade but i will throw in the national title in 96 also. Now please tell me what UL has done since 1986.
