Why?

I am not here to bash Pitino, but why does he not draw something up when holding the ball at the end of the first half?  Instead, we hold the ball not doing anything with it until 4.1 seconds, drive in, miss the forced off-balanced shot, and leave no time for a possible easy put back as every defender is trying to block the shot instead of blocking out. If your not going to call a play, why not start this at 8 seconds like every other team in America? I will take our chances giving the opponent 2 seconds and 94 feet if something goes wrong. This has just been drinving me nuts!

Go Cards!

I have no idea
Especially at the end of the first half when the clock doesn't stop after a made basket. If you start a drive with eight or ten seconds left and hit a shot with three, there's not going to be enough time left for the other team to get up anything more than a prayer.

It hurt us badly last night, and it's been infuriating all season.

the rule is
When you have the ball and plan on holding it for the last play of the half or game, the rule is that you don't call the TO. This coming from that the offense has the advantage being able to call a play, from the sideline or from a prev TO. Calling a TO before the last possession gives the defense a chance to set their D.
Regardless Andree look clueless on the play.

The thing is
we never call a play. We don't try and run anything. We sit back and watch Sosa or McGee dribble for 20 seconds and then toss up a prayer or throw the ball away. I understand the not calling a timeout part, but at least have something drawn up that's going to result in the ball ending up in the hands of a shooter or playmaker.
