Edgar Sosa

I just need to get something off my chest. When did we decide that sosa was already as good as Steve Nash, or mike bibby or even taquan dean. I watched every game last year and i remember only 1 or 2 big games from sosa. After the texas am game everyone just annointed sosa king because of 1 really good game in which he scored 31 points, most of which came from the free throw line,,,,it was just one of those games where he could beat his man off the dribble and he was fortunate enough to get fouled alot and knock'em down. Now because of that game it's like we all think he should magically be as good as dominic james.I have to admit that i too had hoped sosa would play alot better so far this year, but i also think we should all realize that he is still very young and he still has alot of maturing and learning to do.Other teams are game planning to keep sosa out of the lane therefore other guys have to step up but our team is young without palacios or padgett.Sosa will be here 4 years,i hope, and he will be a great player,it might be this year,it might be next year,it might not be till his senior year but it will come and we will all love him just like we love garcia because he has that same passion for the game that garcia has,you can see it in his eyes,he loves playing this game,he wants to be great but he needs a little more time.THERE WILL BE A TIME VERY SOON WHEN SOSA IS TERRORIZING OPPOSSING TEAMS!!I for one cant wait but i can give him the time he needs to mature.

It's Sosa's job to loose
McGee could win the starting point job next year, especially if Edgar continues to get worse. Sosa needs to learn how to pass the ball! He shot it every chance he got in the NMS game. When he has an opportunity to throw the ball inside to DC or E5 he just doesn't do it. He just swings the ball around the perimeter until the shot clock runs down so he has to shoot it. Or he dribbles into traffic and throws up a hail mary. DC and E5 both need to get around 15 shoots a piece a game for us to have a chance to win. DC is capable of shooting 60% from the field for the year yet he only takes 8 shoots a game while Smith and Sosa shoot 35% and taking a combined 15 shots/game. They just don't have the Basketball IQ RickP talks about.

With Apologies To Randy Edsall, The Big East Remains Mostly Harmless

FILE -- This is an Oct. 18, 2008 file photo showing Connecticut corner back Jasper Howard (6) trying to get the crowd into the game during the fourth quarter of an NCAA college football game against Rutgers, in Piscataway, N.J. Jasper Howard had his little sisters' names tatooed on his chest. His friends say it was a constant reminder of why he was at U Conn _ to provide his family with a better life than the one he had in Miami's Little Haiti. (AP Photo/Mel Evans, File) link
