I assert that the blown fair catch call vs. UConn had the following impacts:

1.  UofL would be playing in a bowl with a ~$750k payout.  Unquantifiable potential positive impacts to the careers of Brohm, Douglas, Giacomini, et al.
2.  UConn would be playing Southern Miss instead of Wake Forest in their bowl game.
3.  Added an estimated $10-$15 million to the career earnings of Randy Edsall.  Without the win, no way Ga. Tech goes after him.  I expect he will be signing an extension at UConn.  He is clearly planted in the "coaches on the rise" category.
