Sam Robey heading to Florida

Suppose you can't blame him.

Jody Demling:

The defending national champion University of Florida football program came calling, and Trinity High School lineman Sam Robey couldn't resist.

The 6-foot-5, 255-pound Robey received a scholarship offer from Gators coach Urban Meyer over the weekend and has committed to Florida.

Robey told The Courier-Journal that he plans to make his public announcement this afternoon at Big Spring Country Club when accepting the Paul Hornung Award as the state's top player.

"It's too big of an opportunity to let go by," Robey said. "It really feels great. (Meyer) was like, `Do you want to be a Gator?' and I was like, `Yes'.

"It was a hard decision but it was just too good to pass up."

Yeah
I suppose not.  With the turmoil surrounding the team, we're not going to see anymore "Brian Brohms" or "Michael Bushs" staying home.

Or...
Could he eventually be like that kid from Central who went to Michigan, sat the bench and is now transferring to Louisville?  (The lineman - I can't think of his name.)
