No idea why, but we're feeling semi-optimistic. If Pitino does in fact go with the three-guard lineup, it's a definite sign that we actually might try and run with these guys. This could make the game either pretty fun or the least amount of fun possible. We'll see.

If nothing else it's exciting having a non-conference game against a quality opponent besides Kentucky again.

Boy, that escalated quickly... I mean, that really got out of hand fast.

Seriously, it's great that we got it to under 10 before the break. These guys don't play much defense, and if we can get just one guy really hot we could have a chance.

Derrick Caracter is going to be awfully good.

not quite

Same kind of game they had a year ago. Just not there yet. They never got there last year, but it feels different now. On sheer ability, they should be able to. It's just about fitting the pieces together.

The game was winnable, seems to me, until Edgar Sosa forgot how to pass. There were also a couple of other brain farts at the end from T. Williams and someone else I can't remember because I'm old and tired. But overall, I think this team has some potential that last year's team absolutely lacked. If we can just find a shooter or two.......
